    Some new frame ideas for automatons

    When I get my scanner hooked back up, I'll start posting some images on here of my ideas. For now, I'll just say what I came up with.

    Flyingblade W-600:
    Head: Melee +1, Ranged +1
    Elements:
    Fire3 Wind2 Thunder3 Light2
    Ice0 Earth2 Water0 Dark0
    Deployment:
    -Runs in for melee when deployed.
    -Automaton gains a +5% haste for melee attacks only.
    -For sharpshot and flyingblade frames, it uses its ranged attack upon deployment.
    -For sharpshot frame, ranged attack delay is ~36 seconds, with +5 ranged accuracy.
    -For harlequin and stormwaker frames, spells are the same as harlequin and sharpshot heads.

    Frame: Melee B, Ranged C, Magic 0
    Attributes:
    (At level 10)HP144 MP- STR15 DEX16 VIT16 AGI15 INT12 MND13 CHR13
    Fire3 Wind4 Thunder4 Light3
    Ice3 Earth3 Water2 Dark2
    Special: Is under the effects of "Dual Wield", which increases to "Dual Wield II" at level 80 and "Dual Wield III" at 90. Also performs a ranged attack every 40 seconds.
    Response to specific heads:
    Harlequin: Same as would affect a Valoredge model.
    Sharpshot: Ranged attack delay drops to 36 seconds.
    Valoredge: Nothing special.
    Stormwaker, Soulsoother, and Spiritreaver: Normal effectiveness.
    Flyingblade: Normal effectiveness.

    I have another one I'm working on. A new "green mage" model focusing on buffs and debuffs.
    Also working on the quest for getting this, though I know I'm making the required level 75 for the quest.

    Edits: Bump frame's Ranged skill to B, and include the +5 ranged accuracy to using the Flyingblade head with the Flyingblade frame. Any other adjustments are welcome to be critiqued.

    I like playing dnc. But, as galka, they should have natural earth damage to most dnc abilities.

    so it's like... Valorshot? .... Valorshot with a horrible delay because of Dual Wield? ... meh

    Pretty much. The ranged attack was just to take it from the 3 prime skills, and hybrid ranged and melee better than sharpshot does, but not be as good in ranged as sharpshot due to its unique melee abilities.

    Honestly, I'd rather use Valorshot (Valoredge head + Sharpshot body) over that.... more earth capacity; more Ranged skill for landing ranged WSs, and has a native 36 sec ranged delay

    I'd rather they fix/update the current heads/frames first. If that were to occur, there wouldn't be any need for another new one.

    Probably bumping the ranged skill to B would work. Also, include the +5 ranged accuracy for flyingblade frame with flyingblade head. The entire idea is for it to hit more often (between dual wield, haste, and ranged attacks) but not as hard.

    what I would like would be an Automaton with a native/advancing Store TP trait... a SAM robot... give him some decent WSs (Not as strong as Armor Piercer, but for the love of god not as crappy as Bone "Crusher" ><) make the head give Store TP tier I, and additional tiers get added by the frame as it levels up, leading eventually to like a 7hit build for your pet w/o gear (give it a 2handed delay like 444~480)

    If I designed it, I'd only put "store tp" in the head, and increase it in intervals like you said. But, a sam automaton is like valoredge with Inhibitor, but if you can think of some other things that would make it more unique, I'd love to hear them.

    well, the Inhibitor is a hit-or-miss attachment... sometimes the robot likes to SC with crappy WSs.

    this being said, doing it the way I ordered it allows the Frame itself to be a uniquely SAM frame, while slapping the head on Valoredge or Sharpshot lets them "Sub" SAM themselves (due to it's single STP tier) without removing the uniqueness of the SAM frame's growing STP tiers.

    The Samurai Automaton would be a more Damage oriented Melee Frame (because VE was "built" as a tank... which it can't even do very well xD).

    The final product would be a melee alternative to the Sharpshot automaton, basically built as High Damage low Defenses

    The ideas sound nice. All that'd hafta be changed is "how it looks". Because, automatons were designed to fill roles, not really imitate jobs. A slow, heavy hitter that gets tp quickly makes it sound like a sam, but changing it to be "a melee alternative to the sharpshot" with the high damage low defenses takes it from being a mini sam and makes it abit more unique.

    The store tp factor is nice, but how about this?
    Deployment:
    -Gains a slight regain effect when deployed.(1 tp/tick every 3 seconds, which increases to 2 tp/tick at 80, and 3 tp/tick at 90).

    Let's see what all deployment effects for the head you can come up with, and don't forget to include how it affects the various frames.
