Lets see now.. why to use this instead of a potion/etc well hmm as a
key item (if you read 1st post).

If your dead you can't use items? maybe you forgot to USE one b4 u died? didn't have
enough time to use one even? it's supposed to be a true last of all last resorts.. the
"oh **** i forgot!" resolve.

I wouldn't have anything against the key item.. but i don't think it would add much value to the game..

If you are gonna forget a reraise scroll/potion/spell/etc.. you will probably forget to get the key item as well.

That's the point where you either wait for/ask for a raise or HP. You should never be able to use any sort of mechanic action while dead other then accept. If it's a key item, where dose it end?
