No.... There is really no reason to make them as rare as they are right now and saying because some items were rare in 2005 doesn't really have any bearing on today's game. I agree with the OP 100%, these items needs to be made more accessible.I see no problem with the cost and rarity of the ingredients and materials. If you account for how much more gil is in the game now than 7 years ago, the new materials are no different than Shining Cloth/Damscene Cloth/Divine Log/Venemous Claw circa 2005. Back then those items went for 6-20mil each which was appropriate considering only a few NMs dropped these items and they were heavily camped. Level 99 abjuration gear should be rare and expensive and the HQs should be even rarer and more expensive just like at 75.
