When using the command "/pcmd add <name>", it would occasionally not send the invite when the person is in the same Region, and not changing areas. I've had this issue a few times while shouting for voidwatch, and when I've asked other people to invite people, they've used the pcmd command and have had the same issue.

What do you mean with "not send the invite"? Does it just not say anything and the person doesn't get an invite? That can be (and most of the time is) due to zoning.

If you mean that you get a random error message even though you should be able to invite them, I can confirm this, and what's worse is that I cannot find any pattern to it at all. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Sometimes it will erroneously say "That person is a party member." even though they're standing right in front of you with their flags up. Sometimes it just says "You can't invite that person to your party at this time." or sometimes the very uninformative "That request cannot be processed.", none of which are particularly helpful. However, when you find people by searching for them and then send an invite from the menu, it always works.

This is one of the things that have always bothered me greatly, but they've been around so long that I got used to working around them and almost forgot about it by now. I'd love to see this addressed.

I was wondering about this as well, would send the invite and absolutely nothing would happen on my other account. It's not due to zoning, as the other account was standing around for quite some time. Would usually take by the 2nd or 3rd time, or I'd just do the invite from the search menu.

    Hello!

Thank you for your report, I'm sorry to hear that the /pcmd add command is not working as intended. Your experience differs a bit from my own, I found that the command only works when the other player is within range, though I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. You might want to try that in the future.

I'll go ahead and submit your information for further testing. Any changes, news or updates regarding this matter will either be made directly to this post, or on www.PlayOnline.com and official FFXI forums. Thank you again!
