trial 3 issue

Second, I am doing empy dagger. My renengde says trial 3 on it, I have it equiped in the main hand. I got a kill but got no credit and I just started this trial. Also the spectacles and moogle in Jeuno does not even have me on trail 3.

Also if you could please tell us what the Magian Moogle says to you when you attempt to trade the NPC your dagger. If it puts the trial on the weapon in such a case, could you please try to defeat the monster again after doing so and see if you would get credit from doing that.
