    Boat HNMs

can we get some new NM on the boats. most are hardly used anymore cept by fisherman. I always wanted a huge Uragnite to attack the Mana Clipper. there are these boats and zones that hardly ever get used, would give people a reason to take the boat instead of just warping.

There is no real reason to force people to use boats. The reason they aren't used is because SE implemented methods of transportation because people complained about the really ridiculously implemented boat system.

In addition, the people that have to use the boats are newer players that haven't gotten all of their outpost warps and teleport crystals. Putting enemies on boats that can utterly obliterate them just so that players that don't use the boats because they don't need to any more can sit around using the boats they shunned in the first place is a little silly.

At level 30 you can and should start Abbysea (at the very least to start stone accumulation) once you unlock the maws for the first 3 zones and accumulate a fairly modest amount of cruor (the rewards from the soloable quests should be enough pretty quickly) you have faster-than-airship transport to the 3 cities both from Jeuno and the other cities (although Bastok may be debatable due to the terrain in North Gustaberg).

At 75 you can (and should for the above reason) start Voidwatch. Once you start each of the paths (cities, Zilart, CoP, ToAU) you have near instant transport from any city or town (except Nashmau) to any other city or town (except Whitegate - which can be obtained through a simple quest in each of the main cities - and Jeuno which does require some progression) for a slightly higher cost in cruor.

It's arguable that after you have the Voidwatch warps any other form quick transportation other than warp is completely obsolete (there are exceptions but they are pretty rare occurrances) and after even level 30 taking an airship or boat is a waste of time.

You think new players are going to start doing poorly explained content that holds no significance for them right at the level they are allowed to do it? How often do you really think that happens outside people that are lucky enough to stumble into a really good LS? Beyond that, do you really think they will manage to do it with some measure of success rather than be killed over and over again?

Beyond that, your point is slightly irrelevant. Selbina-Mhaura is primarily used pre-level 30. ToAU boats are mandatory until you can bypass them. The boats aren't used to expedite travel. They are used to get to areas that are not accessible any other way or to get around zones that would be suicidal to travel through at the levels you would use them.

By the time you can transport that quickly, you are at a point where you can ignore boats, yes. However, that doesn't change that the people that need to use boats aren't those people.

You can (and have always been able to) stay below deck and not get attacked by monsters, so not sure how low level players are relevant to adding new NMs.
