Modus Veritas: (AKA Scholars 20 hour ability)
Modus is nice when it actually works, but completely useless 99% of the time.
Just completely remove the exponential gains and make it land at 100% rate.
Example:
SCH A casts helix for 500 damage.
SCH A uses MV to increase it to 1000 damage.
SCH B uses MV to increase it to 1500 damage.
SCH C uses MV to increase it to 2000 damage.
SCH D uses MV to increase it to 2500 damage.
That seems like reasonable damage, not amazing for requiring 4 players but still better than a JA that is completely useless on 99% of the stuff that matters.
The benefits would make it possibly worth meriting MV effect to retain the duration.
The tactical side still remains if there is more than 1 SCH in the party (that almost never happens and if it does, the chances of both of them using MV is almost 0 because lolmodusveritas...), you still want the helix to come from the player with the higher damage.
Don't forget that the 2500 damage every 10 sec can be beaten by a single nuke by a single player and not require any teamwork at all. This also makes the ability actually usefull for single SCH's, not just a waste of time to use and be dissapointed.
Libra:
Show us monster stats (STR/VIT/DEX/INT etc), strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps copy some enfeebles you have on you, to the enemy unresisted (Balance the scales). Not stuff like Doom/Curse though.
Examples:
1: SCH uses libra: enemy A is shown to be weak to slashing damage and wind, has 50STR, 80VIT, 40AGI, 30INT (etc etc etc). The party now knows how best to deal damage and minimise TP gain for the enemy over the duration of the fight (Less hits required to kill it). They know they can switch some DEX gear for STR and still hit at a good rate/crit rate while improving base damage.
Also, please print all of this info to the chat bar, regardless of what your damage display setting is set to...
(Drop it to lvl 75 and add a merit category for it)
2: SCH inflicted with plague, curse and slow uses Libra: Enemy is inflicted with 1 of those effects chosen randomly. (Again, exclude stuff like doom/curse)
Each merit increases the max number of enfeebles that can be transfered.
Sure they aren't amazing, but we already have some amazing abilitys. I'd rather see them simply made functional. If not then I'd be more than happy to see them removed completely. (Maybe not MV as it's nice when it actually lands)
