Contrary to what you may think or believe, I am not raging and I'm not nearly as upset as you think I am. I simply happen to feel strongly about this subject. I'm not trying to make excuses for myself.

I'll be perfectly straight with you Rosina. Am I happy with the Mumor event? No, I'm not. But I also don't look at it through rose colored glasses. The idea behind Mumor is cute to say the least but its execution is where it fails spectacularly. That is where my problem lies, not with Mumor herself.

The reason I'm not talking about the other events is simple and it isn't because I prefer them over Mumor. The reason I'm talking about Mumor right now is because that is the event in question and it's happening right now. Do I think that the rest of the seasonal events need to be changed and improved?

Yes. A thousand times yes! I can't stress that enough.

Also, you mention that this game is old. Well, yes. 10 years is a long time by any standard. However that is not an excuse that SE can use since there are quite a bit of people still playing this game. They should be giving us better events or at least events that are better thought out.

On topic of storage NPC- I am well ware of the storage NPC and Moogle. However, SE has a bad habit of not letting you store event gear immediately. When I did xmas event last year I couldn't store pants for the longest time. It becomes bothersome. D=

Lastly, do you want to know how I know that Mumor and the other events are out of favor by most of the FFXI community?

Go search FFXI wiki on a walk-through from one of the seasonal events? You'll find dated walkthroughs because nobody bothers to update them. Why should they? They're just rehashes of old events.

I've yet to see someone make a thread or express in game that they're happy to see Mumor back (or other events for that matter). The typical response that I see is "Meh, Mumor again?".

So, instead of just saying that or complaining to my friends about Mumor, I decided to let the dev's know my stance on it. Apparently, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I suggest you revamp your topic then, your letting your dislike for this mini game prob alot of ppl find fun cloud what you really should be saying. I can tell you dislike hee. Bit the mini game is set up to go with her lore. Its a mimic mini game. As here fans we need to mimic her moves to give her power. Similar to peter pan where peter asks the kids to clap their hands to save his fairy. I will like to say that people need to lay off the "rise colored glasses" saying as at this point where it no long means what it does. I do not do or say anything with rose colored glasses. But i'm not an overly cynical nay sayer who feel the need to comaplain about everything i dislike. I love doing this mini game. I do get a sense of being a fan and helping her beat the evil baddy. I think this is do to my child like carefree spirit. I'm not the type to spoil the magic behind everything. But here is my point. Sunbreeze was changed ALOT since the games launched. It used to ONLY have gold fish scooping.

But instead of the insults point out the spelling, or where you have issues understanding it. I'm wondering if it's really my typing or if your picking on me for the sake of such. Cuz realistically outside my spelling errors only people i've had mock my typing is the ffxi/ffxiv forum. The other Mud, MMo, forums i've been to never had such issues.

For the first part: ADD is no excuse, I've met many people with ADD with far superior typing skills [both in terms of spelling and grammar.]

For the second part: I'm pretty sure the English language, and any language has a strict set of rules deemed [save redundancy] grammar, semantics, spelling, structure, etc. Even with slang, there's still certain limits to what you do and don't type. As to where she might have been confused, it's mostly because your post is a block of text and has no real spacing to read with more clarity.

By cynical elitist i mean people who read wiki like the bible and live my its teachings as word of god... that its it isn't on wiki its not worth it then shove said info down everyone throats insulting them if they choose to not read it. If you do not fall into this catagory then I'm not talking about you.

But Ana just made a good point on why I dislike wiki... If it isn't on wiki its not worth doing. If its out of date on wiki its not worth doing. The wiki is a free forum user run website. Not too many people are willing to do that, Most just want to play games. Infact most of wiki is outdated. I was able to get on a few types of wiki on my pc which decided to work cuz I was looking up a movie.

No mmo on wiki will have up to date seasonal events. They only last 2 weeks and only happen once a year. So to most, people will find it a waste to update it reguardless if new rewards are added or not.

Actually, wiki is out of date because the owners moved to Gamer's Escape, and even then it's pretty meh. The seasonal events were updated yearly, back then. But even now, there's no reason to update the wikis on those events because the changes are severely limited and don't really bring anything "new" to the table anyway? So how does an outdated wiki mean anything when the quests/events haven't changed?

EDIT: Also, many people "treat the wiki like the bible" explicitly *because* it is written by other users. It is based off of experiences of others and the information they have gathered. Sure, it's somewhat outdated [however, BG wiki is not, and the community is usually pretty precise as far as efficient builds and such go] but it still holds much relevance, so why would you go against the wiki? You can pretty much do every quest with the details they give you.

Honestly please stop saying "i know people with ADD..." Here is why.... 1) ADD effects people differently no 2 people will have the same issues. 2) ADD now a days is HEAVELY misdiganosed. I know ppl who got told they hadd ADD when it was infact something else entirely.

Second I never used it as an excuse. That was the assumption you guys have. As is the ability to use a form of spell checker. You may not believe this is true, but while in school w/o help. I infact got A's and B's for my writing. B's only due to my penminship. If I had a means to use spell checker, i would use it. If I had a grammar checker I would use. But on the Ps3 there are no such tools. As for block of text... I'm sure you guys read books... That is basic form of text set up any book. Also, with just the text I hit the limit the ps3 does infact have when it comes typing.

At some point you guys need to be understanding as well. And not solely put blame on me.
