lol you could just post that last line and your point would be made across in a better manner.

Anyway, the point of the Mumor event is that Mumor is an actress entertaining kids ala "tokusatsu" (heroes for kids) which is popular in Japan. Usually there are acted "tokusatsu" shows with actors on these summer festivals.

The environmental changes in the background to the seasonal events always interested me more. I'd be quite happy to have seasonal weather changes added to more zones.

Come to think of it the last time I enjoyed an event proper was Frightfest. I found it quite fun to be dropped to low level and sent to a random zone.

While I have nothing personal against the cultural aspect behind Mumor and I understand how this could be popular for children when put in an actual stage + actors environment. It doesn't mean that it is a good implementation as a game mechanic or event for that matter.

That being said, the event is downright boring and it really makes SE look lazy.

I don't want to be a Mumor groupie or a fan cheering her on- that is not fun in the least.

I'm sure there are other cultural aspects of summer festivals that SE could introduce to FFXI besides Mumor/Tokusatsu.
