Because I like teal and small text looks clean and concise to me. Sue me.
At least I don't make a point out of it, nor do I pretend to be better than anyone because of it. It's just personal preference -- that's all.

The small text also induces eyestrain on us poor farsighted people. =P

(What? thought I'd use orange since no one else was using it, except for some of the letters in the OP)
