So, as the title suggests I fell victim to a vanishing abjuration.
I did a provenance run today between 1700 and 1930ish uk time.
One of the caturaes I fought dropped a "corvine abjuration: hands" in my glimmering trove.
I was subsequently lucky enough to obtain the corvine body abjuration in my glimmering trove from provenance watcher later on.
satisfied with todays provenance run and thinking all was well with the world I returned to jeuno and proceeded to craft.
a short time later I was shocked to discover that my corvine abjuration: hands had vanished from my inventory. I remember specifically placing it into my satchel to make room to purchase a palladian brass ore from one of my fellow players. and yet upon my return to jeuno it had vanished. I discovered this after having commited to an akvan shout group. so to be sure I could fullfill my obligations to said shout group I proceeded to travel to lower delfkutts tower, once inside I made my GM call, I explained the problem to the GM. The GM investigated and after several attempts they could not find any evidence of the abjuration ever having dropped to me. yet I know it did, I announced it in party chat, people from the alliance remembered me doing so. The GM claimed the server had no record of me obtaining it.
Quite frankly this is not acceptable. It's not the GM's fault there was a problem server side, however I lost out on a reward I had worked hard for and to have it vanish out of existence is beyond reason. This is as bad as when my briareus helms disappeared from the magian moogle's records, only worse this takes an 18person alliance to attempt to re-obtain and significant ammount of time. I am flat out telling you, this is not fair by any stretch of the imagination, do I now have to screenshot all drops I receive so that I can have some form of evidence when they disappear? I pay for a service, let's not forget that I've forked over money every month since I bought this game practically. We're talking years of fees paid. I demand that a) the error is corrected server side. and b) that my abjuration be returned to me.
I can't stress enough that I do not like being robbed of the fruits of my labour.
Imagine if I took away a everyones pay check for this month at the part of square enix responsible for this, they would be equally unhappy. Yes, I know this is a game, a game that we pay monthly fees to maintain the server and to fund future developement of the game itself including to fix errors with the current game.
one very unsattisfied customer here, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
