Does this mean we will be able to have 24 merits on one stat? or 24 merits split between 2 or more stats?

Also, whilest I have your attention, how about raising number of merits you can allocate to combat skills and magic skills, for example a further 16-20 points to spend in each? maybe too much to ask?

Final thing I'd like to request with reguards to merit points adjustment: can we have room to merit 4 weaponskills to 5/5 please? asking to be able to merit all 15 weaponskills to 5/5 is probably greedy, but considering the number of merits involved it doesn't seem terribly bad to me.

Yeah it means that you can max out two stats at 12/12 if you wanted.

Indeed 12 is the maximum for 1 attribute, which is quite the coincidence as I have been contemplating on switching from 12 DEX to 12 STR as of late... but this works just fine for me then!

Now if only they would raise the amount of merit points we may accumulate even further. =/
While 30 is way better than 10, it's somehow very annoying heh. I'd say 50 or even 100 would be OK'ish. ^^;

I imagine they are going to fiddle with the other categories as well in the near future.
