i think by once they mean you just it the button once per direction change but instead of holding down the button we just tap it.

its annoying with a controler cuz we use anilog sticks for movement/fishing which move in a 360 axis from a singular point. And at times and slight movement can cause you to lose your catch.

They're talking out the rear. I have never lost a catch like that and I play on 360.

if you do something like sneeze or jump "50ft" from something scaring you this can cause ur thumb to the stick since its on a free standing singular point.
something like that.

umm thanks for replying for me >.>;; i lost a few due to outside forces cause me to react which causes me to lift my thumb from its position.

That changes absolutely nothing on something like a Ryugu Titan where the position changes half a dozen times every second. They should be taking steps to make tap-fishing less of a necessity.

So you're not "losing your catch" you're just not catching anything which is why I wanted you to tell me what you meant. Once on a hook the only way to lose your catch is to back button or run out of time.

It may not be feasible to untie frame rate from game logic at this point. So many teams of people have come and gone on this game that the current team may have no idea where to begin on that front.

I've seen cases of people being temp banned for a bad hardware combination that made the game run at an unlocked framerate, and that made their character always move at more than 100% speed, which got a GM called on them. It was outside their control, but they got a mark on their record for it.
