Problem with the destrier beret

Hello,
Me and a friend bought the steam bundle that come with the destrier beret.

We both did the same thing, redeeming the code and associating it with a character.

At first, we both got the same message saying there was no item for us from the festive moogle.

Yesterday, my friend told me while entering the residential area in Windurst Walls, he had the cutscene about the Shanttoto addon. and for some reason, after shutting down and reopening FFXI/POL, he was able to receive his destrier beret.

I still can't get the beret tho, since i dont know how to trigger that cutscene. But could that be part of the bug/problem?

I'd really like to get that beret soon.

Your friend is a miracle worker because the Beret hasn't been accessible to people for at least the last 2 weeks.

This is not to say he didn't, though it could come across that way. I truly do believe it is a miracle that he got it because I have been trying for nearly a week.

Oki, i got the cutscenen, and did exactly what my friend did, but i still can't get it...

He really did get lucky. he is playing on xbox and im on pc tho. lol
