Has anyone had success getting anything worthwhile from this? Best Ive gotten was a X-potion +3 and Dragon Steak.

There are a few reports of people getting things like Novio and Novia Earrings. They're just super rare. The point is that you get something worth gil or that you can use. If they gave out the good items at a high drop rate, it would stop players from using the normal ways, and the items wouldn't be special in their rarity for how good they are.
The first day I talked to the NPC he told me I might get a scroll of phalanx. Ive checked with that stupid Goblin everyday since then and gotten nothing better than Dhalmel stew.
Moral of the story, Goblins are dirty liars.
Forget the steaks, it'd be nice if it'd spit out dragon meat.
My best so far was a sixth virtue, which I sold for ~1 mil. All the rest was pretty much NPCd
I generally always get a useful food item or item worth at least 1k gil. Nothing special, but at least it's not logs.
The items require no effort, and I like having a use for random quest items, random Limbus AF+1 items, testimonies, and keys.
P.S.:
Developers, could you add the Rare Ex memospheres used for Promyvion maps to the items accepted by the Goblin? They're basically just coffer keys, but they can't even be used after you obtain the maps for those areas. I kill Cerebrator nearly every time I renew my Tactics Pearl, and throwing that stuff away is getting old. Making the Rare Ex items dropped by Promyvion NMs (e.g., Cerebrator Remnant) tradable to the Goblin would be nice too.
