I am new to FFXI and have absolutely NO IDEA how to play....LoL...Just wanna get that out there, anyways I'm looking for a server/guild that might be interested in showing a new guy the ropes. I purchased ALL expansions so there wont be an issues of not having the content. Anyone interested?

Its really up to you where u want to land. There are some really good LSs on every server. I know the ones I am part of are open to new players and old players returning. So really up to you. Check out my other posts about Grommet and his LS.

bismarck - ratpack - is ls with new players doing old content and some older players who enjoy the social atmosphere. All are welcome, the leader is new player himself and often organizes events for beginning/returningplayers. send me a /tell adill get you a pearl. Welcome to ffxi.

It encourages you to explore the whole breadth of content rather than asking you to bumrush and bypass all the old content just so you can grind the newer content. This is a model used by other MMOs such as WoW, and while I don't have anything against people that enjoy this model, if I wanted to play an MMO with that model there are many, many games vast superior to XI in terms of mechanics and especially customer service that offer such a model.
