Says it is Red, or Purple, though still referred to as Black.
That said it's ridiculous something as over powered as the black belt is being upgraded at all.

If anything is possible, just ask the moogles! Monks can continue training and adding 2nd, 3rd and 4th degrees to their black belt!
...Or more Maat quest! Come on Maat(your older than dirt)!.
"With the POWER of Taru...!"

No belt today for any class compares with Black Belt, I wonder why they want to make an even better one seeing as it's already the best belt in the game. I would have thought they would give other jobs a similar boss piece of job specific equipment(not counting weapon) before they would upgrade black belt but alas. It'll probably be the Arise/Meteor for MNK I guess as they said it wouldn't be easy to get.
New Belt proves that SE secretly has a hard on for monk that rivals their hard ons for sam and whm, due to mnk being the one job they got right initially, and have yet to significantly fuck up in any way, yet still manages to be one of the top jobs with almost no new, MAJOR additions. /conspiracytheory

My main worry is that they're going to make this belt's acquisition require a style of gameplay that the community no longer supports. I guess that's one way to keep it rare, but I have never really cared about rarity or prestige. I'd rather the belts be all over the place than be something only a couple people on the server can ever realistically obtain.
