Okay so this is what I've just read.
The following enemy weakness adjustments, formerly exclusive to the final chapter of Voidwatch, will apply to all jurisdictions.
Triggering weaknesses will lower enemies’ attack and magic attack power.
Abilities and spells learned via merit points will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
The thief ability Bully will trigger enemy weaknesses.
All pet special attacks will be able to strike enemy weaknesses.
The ranger ability Bounty Shot will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
Wyvern breath attacks will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
Only a single blood pact for each avatar will trigger enemy weaknesses:
Carbuncle: Holy Mist
Fenrir: Lunar Bay
Ifrit: Fire IV
Shiva: Blizzard IV
Garuda: Aero IV
Titan: Stone IV
Ramuh: Thunder IV
Leviathan: Water IV
Diabolos: Night Terror
All automation abilities and special attacks will trigger enemy weaknesses.
The scholar ability Modus Veritas will not trigger enemy weaknesses.
*The spells and abilities that will no longer trigger enemy weaknesses will be replaced with other ones usable by the same job so that each job's chance of triggering weaknesses remains relatively unchanged.
In short: We're dumbing down Voidwatch for easier procs.
What I would like to know from the community and developer teams... Is there any chance we can do the same for spells that will absolutely NOT proc due to the monster's resistance?
What I'm talking about is about spells such as Choke not having effect on Agathos, Bhishani, Lancing Lamorak, Aello, Celaeno and many more. This is the case for other spells such as Rasp, Drown, etc. Same goes for DRK absorb spells, Drain, Aspir on undead monsters, Virvatuli, Lord Asag, Hahava, Gasha, Giltine, Uptala, Gwynn Ap Nudd, Smierc, Kalasutrax, Fjalar, Dimgruzub. Or even extremely high dark resistance to spells such as Dispel on monsters like Pil & company. Skill level, skill gear, temp items don't make a difference on landing these procs especially when Elemental Seal will have no effect either.
Its rather annoying to go through an entire list of spells that is a Highly or Extremely Vulnerable proc but not being able to trigger it no matter what. I'm grateful for the adjustment you guys provided so far, but those procs weren't as impossible as these are.
Also, here is another case of gear and weapons.
The following equipment items, hereafter to be known as "Pulse Panoplia"—a reference to their luminescent appearance—may now be converted to new items called Pulse Cells.
Anhur Robe / Fazheluo Radiant Mail / Mextli Harness / Mekira Meikogai / Toci's Harness / Heka's Kalasiris /Asteria / Borealis / Coruscanti / Ephemeron / Murasamemaru / Delphinius / Aytanri
Pulse Cell Conversion
When obtaining a pulse weapon or piece of armor from a Riftworn Pyxis, select "Obtain as pulse cell."
Items obtainable as pulse cells will be marked with a star.
Pulse cells are stackable (up to 12), deliverable, and may be traded or sold at bazaars and the auction house.
Trade five of any one variety of pulse cell to the NPC Ardrick (Jugner Forest, I-8) to obtain the corresponding piece of pulse equipment.
*In order to have equipment reconstructed, players must possess the designation for defeating the Voidwalker that drops the corresponding item.
In otherwords: We're dumbing down how to obtain your shiny stuff.
Are there any plans to do something similar for Ogier's, Praeco and Rubeus gear? I don't know why these gear sets were excluded, but a lot of these pieces are exceptionally great. Highly coveted items... But, popularity of VW has been dropping. So It'll be harder and harder to gather up people to kill a VW NM 4, 8, 12, innumerable amounts of times until everyone is happy. I would gladly throw my gil at Bhishani to finally get my Rubeus Boots. I know people are tired of killing the same NM over and over and waiting for the next group shout to come around just to repeat the same cycle of not receiving the gear they want.
I would really appreciate some feedback, opinions and thoughts from the player community to help back up my argument.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my post.
