    Destrier Beret Help!!

    Ok so i bought the ultimate collection game PC download, i created my accounts, created my character in Valefor, after that i registered my reward code at the square enix account website and since then ive been having troubles with the festive moogle in port bastok, he gives me a message that he has a lot of goodies bla bla bla but nothing for me.
    i have spoken with square enix by phone, and ingame GMs but nobody could resolve my issue so the guy from square enix phone support told me to create this report so that you guys (idk who exacly) can fix my problem, they said they cant mess with my inventory or anything like that so yeah... i need help here i want my beret plz reply ASAP ty

    Make sure it's the correct moogle. Altana knows there are a whole mess of moogles about these days...

    Sorry for any confusion. By steps, we mean we would like to know the exact steps you took leading to this issue. For example:

    Step 1: Spoke to Moogle (list the exact Moogle's name and location)
    Step 2: Moogle said "Kupo..." (exact words, please)
    Step 3: Etc.

    Hi Kvana

    When I did this I had to go through the code entry process three times the screens on the SE Account management website are not very clear and it seems as if it has taken your code but it has not actually applied it to the account.

    Login to your SE Account and do the following again

    1. Click Select Service
    2. Click PlayOnline/Final Fantasy XI
    3. Click Add a Service Account
    4. Enter the redemption code <-- if after you enter your code here again it still accepts it then your previous attempts did not fully get completed. If it rejects your code here, you'll have to play with the SE GMs here....
    5. Select the account you want to apply it to (If you have more than one FFXI account)
    6. Select the character you want to give the beret to. Keep in mind it will only go to one of your characters, so choose wisely!

    7. Completely log out of the game and play online, wait about 5 to 10 minutes, log back in and try to get your hat.

    The steps 5 and 6 are really weird this is what tripped me up is I stopped after the select account portion the method to go on to select the actual character the item goes to does not seem obvious.

    Ok so step 1. i logged in after redeem my reward code.
    2. spoke to the festive moogle in port bastok (J-13).
    3. hes msg is the following: Hey! the MHMU has a basketful of special goodies for all the brave Adventurers who work hard to protect the poor little moogles of Vana'diel, kupo. Ah, but it looks like I have nothing for you! Sorry!
    4. and yeah already tried what you said Dieth and it wont work, i tried the chat support and they wont help eighter.... i guess its bad luck or bad time to re start FFXI?

    Hello Kvana,

    I'm deeply sorry to hear that you've been having such a hassle trying to obtain your bonus item. I want to help you resolve the matter, and will explain your options. Below is our Knowledge Base article on how to obtain the beret:

    How to Register
    Please follow the steps below to redeem the reward code and receive the item:

    1) Log in to the Square Enix Account Management System, select “Select Services” from the side menu, select “FINAL FANTASY XI,” and then select the “Add a service account” button.

    2) Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the reward code and select which FINAL FANTASY XI character will retrieve the item.

    3) After registration, log in to FINAL FANTASY XI with the character you selected and go to any of the three starting nations to retrieve the item from a Festive Moogle.
    • The Festive Moogles will be placed near Mog Houses in the following areas:
    Port San d’Oria (J-9), Windurst Walls (C-14), Port Bastok (J-13
    • You can retrieve the item from a Festive Moogle in any area.

    Notice
    • Please ensure you have registered a FINAL FANTASY XI content ID and created a character before registering the reward code.
    • This campaign is limited to one reward code per character. Even if a different code is used, that character will not be able to accept more than one item.
    • Reward codes cannot be re-used, or re-issued to another character.
    • Codes cannot be exchanged, refunded or re-issued.
    • This item is Rare/Ex meaning that it cannot be given to other characters, sold at an auction house, or sent using the delivery service.

    If you have followed the steps above, but are still not able to obtain the item from the specified Moogle, you will need to explain the matter to one of our support representatives. They are able to verify if your code was accepted and registered to your account. Unfortunately, GMs are unable to verify this information or we would be able to assist further with the matter.

    Usually there is a reasonable explanation for these types of issues. After reading your description, it sounds like the Moogle is reacting in a way where your code is not registered. In this case, please double check that the code is properly registered with the character that you wish to receive the Beret.

    If you are still having an issue after all is said and done, please fill out the rest of the information requested by GM Xophious and GM Baudle so that we can escalate your concern to the developers for further testing.

    it is properly regstered as you can see, but it still dont work, i just want to know at this point if you can or cannot provide me my item. i paid 15 bucks for that and im not getting it... thats sad

    it clearly says the reward code is been applied for Kissame at valefor the 14th of this month, all ppl from chat,phone support do is tell me the same thing you telling me "check if you registered properly bla bla bla" i have gone tru this proccess over and over and over again for nothing, i dont mean to sound mad or anthing like that i just want this item bc that was the main reason i bought this account in the first place, otherwise i wouldnt start from lvl1.
