PoL News Feed Suggestion

Hello~

I'd like to suggest something to add to PoL to make the extra step to play a bit less tiresome. Why not have a Dev Post News feed where those (4-5 yr old?) banner are? This way before hitting play a player can glance quickly at it to be reminded of the sorely lack of real content updates they're going to get This will mean the news would reach all players not just forum go-ers so it might spark even more(possible?) interest in the game/community

I'm just really tired of seeing that same screen after all these years, and I'm guessing it's tied with the update mechanics of the game too much to get rid off, so why not turn it into something slightly useful/informative?

or they could make a portal to the playonline website, SE account system, LS community portal, and the forums within the POL viewer so everyone can get there... rather than just having a rather useless wrapper they cant shed due to spaghetti code, make it useful again for something other than chat and a login for FFXI
