    Adjustments to Tu'Lia Notorious Monsters

    Good morning!

    First and foremost, thank you for giving us the option of augmenting our existing Tu'Lia gear through synergy! This is a neat way of breathing some life into content that had been irrelevant for quite some time.

    When the game was released, I can understand that the NMs in Sky were intended to be difficult to pop in order to keep the battles and their rewards exciting. These days, this is no longer the case. There are many players that would like to augment their existing abjuration gear, and due to the ease of killing the trigger NMs, Sky has once again become a bottleneck for some players.

    I would like the development team to look into the following solution to the problem that is currently being experienced.

    Firstly, the spawn timer on the roaming NM Zipacna should either be adjusted to 10-15 minutes, or the NM should be changed to a forced spawn from items dropped by the Enkidu in Ve'Lugannon palace. The drop rate on the item "Ro'Maeve Water" should also be increased to coincide with this change.

    The NM Faust should be changed in a similar fashion. Due to the shortage of Doll-type mobs in his spawn area, perhaps any of the dolls inside the Shrine of Ru'Avitau could have the chance of dropping the pop item.

    Despot should be spawned with an item dropped by the Groundskeeper mobs where he currently spawns.

    The item "Curtana" should be a drop from any weapon-type mob in Sky.

    Dustbusters inside Ve'Lugannon palace should drop an item that can be used to spawn Steam Cleaner.

    Detectors in any area of Tu'Lia should drop a pop item for Mother Globe.

    Diorite drop rate should be adjusted to be higher.

    These changes will have a very positive impact on the players that are wishing to get more of their gear augmented. The only people that would potentially be negatively affected by this change are the players who are monopolizing the NMs for Gil, but with cruor farming, crafting, dynamis, and salvage, there are plenty of other ways to make money that aren't bottlenecking the players that are in sky for the betterment of their character and their friends characters.

    Another positive side effect of this change is that it would give players more options of things to do in game.

    How about this.

    Instead of nerfing the system. Give it a bump in difficulty and make it a challenge again to lvl 99 players. Add a few new/relevant drops and poof you have fun/challenging content with worthwhile/exciting rewards

    I agree with OP for the most part. I'm okay with the current droprate on diorite and water, and not everything needs to be force-spawned. Although, I think the current time-spawned NMs should spawn much faster than two hours. It's quite disheartening to find a NM to be dead and up to a two hour wait for it. Thirty minutes would be perfect. A few tweaks to spawn times would make sky much less of a hassle.

    As you said, let old content stay old, myself I like that Sky has not changed much, people who never got to do it when it was the thing to do can be shown the old ways, and there are good rewards still which give incentive to do these NMs. Shorter time would be nice but it takes away from the old endgame we still have which is fading fast, sometimes you like to keep things the same, if for nothing more than memorys.

    As for the OP, as some would say let old content stay old. The only problem that has arisen lately from sky has been genbu pops due to Kirins pole augments for Embrava needing genbus seals, which in turn has created a ZIPACNA bottleneck. Sky itself is fine as it is, if anything needs to be changed, its what seals can be used to grant the enhancing magic skill + to the Kirins pole, and/or Zipacna's spawn conditions.

    Nostalgia is a powerful poison that pollutes the objectivity of even the best of us. Most likely what you are actually yearning for is the virgin experience of ffxi, alas your cherry has long since been popped. The majority of players would both enjoy and benefit from this change, alas, the vocal minority often stand in the way of the improvement of a broken and unpleasant system.

    As far as the comment regarding a "nerf" to the current Tu'Lia NMs is concerned, a reduction in difficulty of killing the afformentioned Notorious Monsters was never requested, merely an adjustment to the conditions required to challenge said beasts.

    Qilin... is a joke... Kirin was at least hard, hell Kirin now is probably harder than Qilin, procs kill everything that makes Qilin possible to be fun... thats also not all gods seeing as even him summoning them is the same as Kirin so I don't count it. For Zilart what the should have done is 6 T1 6 T2 and then have 4 T3 & a T4, have Qilin as T4, have him drop lv99 versions of his old drops, have T3s all the other gods and have them drop lv99 versions of their drops, would have been better for VW imo so long as drops weren't painfully BS...

    There are two types of VWNMs.

    Jokes, and ones that make jokes out of you. There's no middle-ground here.
    Remove all pet-based procs, reduce the effects/durations of staggers, reduce enfeebling magic immunities, and you'll have a ton of disgruntled players complaining that crap is too hard. Which for a few NMs, might be true.

    But really, when you're at Lv99, and you've got a strategy online for every mob in the game, at what point can things not get easier?
