We did answer this in an earlier post, but that was a while back, huh? I went ahead and asked for an update from the Development Team.

They will be focusing on the high priority portions of the new UI first. Once those milestones have been completed, testing to see if features such as copy/paste could be implemented will be next on their plate. We'll make sure of it.
