Suggestion: Improved Macro Editor (or offline editor)

I would like to make a suggestion for an improved Macro editor (Note: this is without any reference to changes in the macro system itself) . For easy of implementation, an offline editor would probably be best -- much like the way the FFXI Config utility is a separate executable; the editor could even be invoked through the Config utility.

The current macro-editing system is very rudimentary; re-working your macros is a very inefficient and time-consuming process in the current system. An offline macro editing utility could improve on the current situation, by adding such features as improved cut-and-paste functionality, search-and-replace options, and per-line and per-book import/export functionality.

I had this idea while I was setting my Blue spells one day. I'm not sure if I can explain it the way I thought of it but I'll try.

I was thinking if when you select your magic from the main menu function, where it shows all the forms of magic, after selecting a spell there could be an option to set as a macro and you place it in the book/row of your choice. Then the same thing could be done with abilities too. I'm not sure if it's even doable or if others think it would be useful. But at any rate, I agree there should be an easier way to make/edit your macros.
