Final Fantasy 8 was my favorite Final Fantasy besides 11. Squall was the best main character Square ever produced. He actually had flaws and matured as a character through-out the game unlike their other wide-eyed lover boy characters which were as unrealistic as they were boring. I can't tell you how many times i had to control an urge to vomit my lunch while having to role play as Tidus on FF10, or that retarded monkey boy on 12.

8 was also the most original, with a truly unique plot and interesting array of characters. It was just an incredible game. I loved it and still count it as one of the greatest games ever made.

I also enjoyed how the monsters leveled up with the character, keeping the challenge of the game on par with the character's level. That was a very novel idea that all game's should consider using. Only real problem with the game was the boss monsters didn't share in that concept, and were far too easy to kill. Other than that though, the game was flawless.

i am playing 8 again fun game and i agree the monsters levelin with the charectors is great until u end up with squall lvl 56 and the others lvls between 20-30 XD

I enjoyed FFX-2, I dont get why people hate on it so much. It didn't have the greatest continuance of a story as would have hoped, but it was fun nonetheless.

I think SE mainly made these forums for suggestions to FFXI or any feedback to the game whether it be negative or positive so that they know which direction to take for the game. There is a suggestion area though on another section of the board but I think that is meant to be suggestions for this forum but some use it for suggestions for FFXI.

General conversation could also be good too, but the problem with topics like: favourite FF game, villain, hero, music, etc. is that it's way way too common. Throughout many years I'm explored FF forums I must've seen a million of topics like those, so I actually enjoy reading ideas people have towards FFXI because some of those ideas I had before too but might've forgotten or there might be a new idea I never thought of so it's interesting to see what input people have.

Since this topic starts with two original ideas though and I already answered the first idea I will follow with the second question here. FFXI is the game I have played through the most and have spent the longest amount of time on, but FFX for some reason is my all time favourite FF game right now. I enjoy the storyline, the voice-over's first appearance in FF, and the characters. FFXII is one of my least favourite FF games. That game felt more like star wars in my opinion than a FF game.
