Base Relic Weapons

The base relic weapons* were generally easy to get in large groups back in the day. But now they seem a little lacking in the drop department, I have done many city runs with and with thieves trying to stagger and not and I end up seeing one if I'm lucky. The base weapons do not seem to have received a drop rate increase like the armor did. I am wondering if the dev team could look into two solutions, or maybe both

1)This is easy since the tags on weapons can change. Make the base weapons Rare instad of Rare/EX. People could share bases they receive with friends or linkshells or you have the option to buy them**.

2)Increase the drop rate.

*By base I mean
Relic Blade Relic Bhuj Relic Scythe Relic Gun Relic Axe Ihintanto Ito Relic Lance Relic Sword Relic Staff Relic Dagger Relic Bow Relic Knuckles Relic Horn Relic Maul Relic Shield

**Although to keep them being absurdly high in price the drop rate should be raised.

PS don't tell me to farm in a bigger group unless you're willing to server hop and farm with me.

I had the same problem trying to get a shield, but then I saw how a small group low-manned it for gear:

It's worth noting, they were after gear, not currency, so they weren't trying to stagger all that much.
Blue Mage would round up a bunch of mobs, usually 6-10, bring back to camp. Black Mage would sleepga everything, 2 thieves would solo/proc TH on a few at a time, and then blue mage and black mage would either do an extra sleepga if necessary, or both AOE nuke.

I honestly thought I was getting disconnected when I zoned into Dynamis Jeuno because I saw not a single monster, till I found where they were camping. Using this approach, instead of trying to avoid links, they just grabbed all the links and dealt with them by sleeping them all. They were tossing relic base weapons left and right and just outright gave me a shield lol.

I did notice they seem much more rare now, but you're still probably going to get one long before you have the currency for any of the upgrades.

The droprate is fine if you have a THF with you. Just start going to the zone it drops in and you'll get it along with the currency you need. I toss 10+ weapons each city run I do.

Maybe I'm not thinking this through, but couldn't they add the weapons to the loot pools in other Dynamis zones? Why can't the Yagudo in COP zones drop Relic Knuckles like the ones in Windy? Would that somehow screw up other drops from the COP Yags?
