Characters can't move

I have 5 chars on my account. Two of them cannot move.

I spoke to a GM who teleported them out of the mog house, but they still cannot move. The GM suggested that I contact SE technical support (hence this post!)

I checked the files from the POL menu (I play on a PC) but got the message that all files were up to date and working.

I had a similar problem some months ago after an update - all 5 of my chars could not move in exactly the same way. I waited a couple of days for an emergency update, after which all 5 could move normally again. So when I first experienced these two chars being stuck (roughly one month ago) I waited to see if the problem would correct itself. There have been several updates, and the problem persists.

I have gear and items stored on these two characters that I will be needing in future.

That sure does seem peculiar!

Can't say I've ever encountered anything like that, either, but all I can think of is some sort of file-corruption because you mention it happening before, and an update to game-files corrected it, more or less.

Since it is the beginning of a weekend, you might want to simply try and do a clean install of the game, if you didn't do that yet.
If you are more of the adventurous type, you could try and delete only files related to the certain characters.

That being said, do you have any issues with going to the areas where they are on your other characters?
Or are they in their own Mog Houses?

Either way, you will likely need to fill up the template regarding your connection, character in question, and all that (which you can surely find from the top-page of the forum) to have the issue forwarded, unless it is something they can instantly tell such info would not be helpful with.

I suggest a clean install, Check Files is good but it doesn't check all of them despite what it's supposed to do.

It's a bit late perhaps, but does it appear to be a clipping issue where a part of your character is stuck in a floor, wall, door, hill, et cetera? I've seen a similar issue to that a friend was having and the solution was given by a GM to log out completely and then log back in properly in a non-windowed mode which would correct the issue automatically if a GM had already moved you once.

As for characters not moving: can you do other actions such as access your menus? Is this on PC or console?
