    Issue 1 is probly due to the mouse memory setting. Forget where it was, but it makes the cursor remember where it was last used. I have it turned off on mine and don't have that issue unless I alt-tab to something and use the mouse and then tab back, then the cursor shows up on screen. I just move it off again.

    Issue 2 is likely drift on your analogue sticks. I use PS2 via USB adaptor and experience this from time time. Load the windows game controller snap-in (in control panel) and launch the calibration page. You may notice it has a little jitter when it is supposed to be sitting at dead center. This is more or less a hardware issue that becomes more problematic the more the controller is used. Have to periodically do a quick "recalibration" on the controller. Push in on both analog sticks and spin them both around at the same time a few turns real quick. Usually stops it. Kinda funny when you do it in game--makes your toon spin around spastically...heheh.
