As we have not seen the code that runs this game, we don't know.

In a well written game of today's standards this would be the case, at the time this was written probably not, and personally I'd much rather they not bother rewriting this area just so we can yell further, it's such a non issue.

Depends, myself I have always hated Port Jeuno, so I dont see many double shouts myself, however if you hang around in Port then yes, but then again Port offers nothing that Ru'Lude Gardens doesnt, which is why I live up there.

As much of a non issue as it may be, so too is the switch from bitmap fonts to true type fonts. They are making non issue changes to the game - I can only imagine to prepare for a new influx of players for whatever reason - which should include a few minor changes. /yells that show up in every town, or even just shouts that cover the entire zone. Someone standing near the airship dock for Kahzam can't hear a shout from someone shouting from the mog house. A non issue, yes, but a small deterrence on convenience. Which is exactly what they're working to solve with all these other non issue updates.

Through the confinement of Valefor I found myself in the depths of Hades. It was there that I was thrown into Cerberus' Den. Only through Carbuncle's light could I find my way.
