    On Requiescat

After trying out Requiescat for a while on RDM at level 3 (was farming Manigordos for teeth), I'll have to eat a bit of crow for my erroneous assessment of the WS. The damage was a bit wide-ranging due to the lack of Accuracy gear on me at the time, but it seems adequate when all 5 hits connect (Highest WS broke 2,000, which is impressive for a 1-hander and no MND Atma). Not sure if this is because of my Dual-Wielding MND & STR swords or whatever, but I'm contemplating putting in more merits to see if more damage can be gained at level 4.

Like some other merittable WS, elemental gorget and belt bonuses apply to all hits of the WS, giving it a large boost to damage. However, it does have an attack penalty. It's a solid WS when you need to attack a mob with -pdt, or don't have CDC. If you don't have many jobs competing for your merit WS points, its a WS worth meritting.

If you'd like to see how much damage you'd gain from the extra merits, byrth made a great WS damage calculating guide here: Byrth's WS guide

An added merit into the WS increases its WSC mod by 20% more. (3 to 4 merits increase WSC from 60% to 80% before applying alpha)

Req is good on targets without a high level / defense, with all the MND RDM can get it works out well enough. The problem is vs anything T or higher the WS starts to take a nose dive in damage.

SE needs to remove / reduce the 20% attack penalty.

Just need to remove it, one handed weapons suffer a big enough problem already.
