Bump Mapping Causes Lighting Bug in Ranguemont Pass

    Platform: Windows
    Frequency: Always
Area and Coordinates: Ranguemont Pass, K-5 (among others)

    Steps:
    1. In Final Fantasy XI Config, set default settings for everything, but turn bump mapping on
    2. Walk through Ranguemont Pass
    3. Marvel at the dark floors and lighted ceilings
    4. Re-configure Final Fantasy XI Config to turn off bump mapping
    5. Note that #2 above does not occur

This is independent of all other settings in Config (but tested and confirmed at default settings), and has been reproduced on both an ATI desktop adapter and an Intel integrated GPU.

    Greetings Ziyyigo-Tipyigo,

Thank you for posting your concern over the lighting effects occurring in Ranguemont Pass when you enable Bump Mapping on your system. Though this would be more of a Technical Issue. So in order to get this issue resolved for you as quickly as possible we will go ahead and move this thread over to the Technical Support section of the forum. Thanks again for posting and take care.
