NEEDZ MOAR QUESTS! (seriously)

i understand that the vast majority of ffxi players are only interested in endless level grinding and the pursuit of uber gear but some of my favorite time spent in game was completing quests. in my opinion some of the best story lines in the game have been on quests that no one ever seems to do because the reward isn't worth the time investment. some of the ones that come to mind just off the top of my head are: Message on the Wind, The Stars of Ifrit, and A Timely Visit. if you follow them to the end they are all great stories that most people will never get the pleasure of experiencing. for the rest of us who are more interested in the journey rather than the destination, i would really like to see more stories of that caliber. even if there were no reward for completing it. just the opportunity to find out more of the deep secrets of the place i've spent the last 6 years of my life would make it worth while. hope i'm not the only person who feels this way.

Doing quests was something I would do when I didn't feel like getting into anything energy draining such as farming or xping. Doing quests was so much more relaxing, and was a great way to kill down time between events, or just to spend the day doing things outside of the normal context and flow of the game. I'm sure I'd eventually run out of these, had I continued playing (and probably will upon returning once the servers are back up), so new ones are more than welcome in future updates.

When the servers are back up, I'm going to finish off leveling any jobs I have an interest in. Then I'm going to start doing a series of BCNMs, hunting NMs for fun. + making random parties in old areas for nostalgia.

And I'll be doing quests, and gear farming out the ass and start finishing all of the storylines.
