Playing as Monsters, Well Alright but How About This

Either way it seems to be something knew (though the entire road map was a bit dissapointing most of it seemed doable in a few small updates), would it be out of the question to simply add Voiddust, 4000-5000 Conquest Points/Allied Notes/Imperial standing/Increase the Gil reward for a Ballista match? The rewards have stayed the same since level 75, boosting them would be a very very very small fix.







Instead of doing something like this why not just tweak Ballista rewards and job balance a little inside those specific zones/instances a little bit? It seems to be much easier/less time consuming/dare I say relevant than allowing us to play as monsters for some reason.

Making a system where people can play as monsters seems to be three steps to the left and half a step forward if you get what I mean.

This system just sounds awkward, the only other game I ever tried it in was Lord of the Rings Online and it was quite bad.

But I will try to remain optimistic.

Urteil, about 95% (rough guesstimate and that is being generous) of the playerbase do not do Ballista. That MIGHT be the reason why SE ignores it. Just because YOU enjoy it doesn't mean that SE should care about it because SE knows the vast majority don't give a damn about Ballista.

I personally use the 'New Posts' link only, and never actually go to the other sections except when I'm looking for something specific, say, from the update history and other development related sections. That said, it would be nice to see where the threads actually live when looking them up with that link (for which I created a proposal even but I guess they deem it unnecessary).
If you are referring to the Community Representatives, I highly doubt they only view one section. ^^;

The feature is showcased in the 'Battle Content Updates' section, so I figured the Battle Content forum would be the best place for it.


Anyhow, I would be glad to see adjustments made to Ballista, just like to any other old content because it is simply a shame to leave things unused.

It should not put a barrier in front of creating something new, though...

No you may not ask for playing as monsters ability, but the japanese players probably did, and it is something that is quite popular there with Pokemon and Monster Hunter games, as well as with FFXIII-2 just released this year. So yeah we are getting it, like it or not, perhaps an updated Pankration, seeing that it is already in the game and so far all the "new" content are mostly rehash of the existing one. Unless this is a brand new expansion altogether. The big surprise for this summer Vanadiel Festival announcement.
