    Instead of needing all 3 (relic/mythic/empyrean) for the above mentioned just require relic/empyrean.

    The weapons I posted, are arguably the top tier weapons of their type in the earth's collective traditional folklore.
    the GK for example, is much greater than any masamune or murusame. Its the GK that split Japan from the asian mainland and has great cultural meaning to the japanese. You can google them and see they is some pretty cool legend attached to each.
    Bow (RNG) > relic/ emp
    Bow (SAM) > relic only
    crossbow > mythic only
    gun (COR)> mythic/ emp
    gun (RNG)> Relic/emp
    shield > relic/ emp
    instruments> relic (horn)/ emp (string), not even the same type
    BRD dagger > relic/ mythic/ emp
    DNC dagger > Mythic / Emp
    THF dagger > relic /mythic/ emp

    point with dagger is that brd, dnc, thf use the weapons in different ways, thus how does that effect the result of the fusion? BRD using relic dagger does nothing for BRD's primary function.

    Sword (BLU)> mythic/ emp
    Sword (RDM/PLD) relic >mythic>emp

    (like with dagger, sword fuction is way different for the jobs)

    Great sword (war) > relic
    Great sword (PLD/DRK) Relic/ emp
    Axe ( bst) > relic /mythic/ emp
    Axe ( War) > emp

    Staff (BLM/SMN)> relic/ mythic/ emp
    Staff (SCH) > mythic/ emp

    I think thats all the conflits that exists for a fusion of weapons

    This is why fusion quests can't work, there be too much left out ( like SAM using bow, war using axe) and so on. There is that issue or the fact some jobs might have OP issues ( like sam using a super, ultra bow)
    sam with that relic bow is a fuzzy issue though, if SE makes that weapon strong again I guess it wouldn't matter. I still think there is too much conflict with weapons and job functions ( mythics where ment to be more job function then relics/ emps) relics and emps are just damage so emp club, emp staff are more appealing to magic casters then the other weapons.

    I love the idea of fusion weapons like this thread suggests but stuff like i said needs to be work out. I think those problems would be overwhelming to implement such a thing.

    Anddddd I am a bit offended you would make best brd instrument swring, strings suck and im sure the emp sucks if you marco, the only thing spechal about it is 3 songs.... ooooooooooooooh

    I would really like to see some superpowered mage weapons. Maybe some double damage or instacast stuff. Mythic took a stab at it but really didn't produce much. Atma makes them insignificant now.

    There is no doubt in my mind that SE will come out with another set of weapons for LV 99 that will be the "new" "Ultimate Weapons." I doubt they'd have the requirements the OP mentioned, though. They would undoubtedly be related to new content.

    I actually kinda like the idea, although it would be hard to combine them. Some weapon classes don't have representatives in each category (no mythic bow for example), neither do some jobs (no BLU relic). If there could be found a way around that, I would quite like the thought of implementing that option.

    Very nice topic. Also, very nice choices. Although for a Polearm, Gungnir would be more fitting imo (although I know it's already been used). That, or Ame-no-nuboko (a naginata classifies as a polearm more than a sword imo). Personally I love Bravura as a name for Great Axe. Even if it's not named after a real/mythological weapon, it fits the WAR spirit really well.

    I especially agree on Gram and Pan's Flute. Gan Jiang and Mo Ye are also nice choices, although I don't know if chinese names would go well for traditionally japanese swords.

    BFG is from (I think among other games) "Doom". It was the "best" gun in the Doom Series.

    It stands for "big F**king gun" (Jokingly? maybe).

    It's also in Quake games, I think. I know it was ridiculously overpowered in Q3A.

    I don't think it's jokingly, though. It is a big *** gun.

    If something like this happens, then please, for the love of Altana, make the mage weapons genuinely useful. It's painful seeing all three of relic, mythic, and empyrean outpaced by a set of level 51 staves.
