    Xbox 360 Resolution issues

    Details:
I used to play FFXI a lot on my 360, and I originally played on a standard definition screen before upgrading via composite cables. As such I could tell the difference in resolutions. Eventually the Xbox was moved when we got a big plasma and we started using HDMI cables instead and they worked great. The resolution stayed the same and it looked wonderful on my TV.

At some point I cancelled my account for about 3-4 months to catch up on school and when I can back, I found that the resolution appeared to be that of the standard resolution. I've tried everything to fix it short of trying the composite cables (using other HDMI cables, switching the resolution in the 360's settings, etc.) as I don't know where they are. I even bought a new disc and reinstalled the game to see if this was the issue but found it was still occurring.

    Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Asoupz,

We apologize for the problems you are experiencing. However FINAL FANTASY XI for the Xbox360 runs at the resolution of the console itself. There is no separate configuration for FINAL FANTASY XI such as there is for the PC version. So if the game is running at a lower resolution, it is because the Xbox360 is running at that lower resolution. We can only suggest adjusting the settings on the Xbox360 until you find a resolution that works for you.

Please refer to the documentation that came with your Xbox360 for more assistance in changing its settings, or you can visit the Xbox website at http://www.xbox.com
