You're playing the job wholly inefficiently then. The difference between setting DD traits and setting as many proc spells as possible (4 elements max) is an average downtime of 6 seconds. Miniscule, as the damage and utility of a good BLU will far outweigh an extra average 6 seconds of downtime.

Further, Refresh is absolutely useless, damage spells are useless as well but you get several of them from setting traits, and haste is a part of DW.

I would like to see your spell setup for /war which i do prefer to use myself but with setting proc spells for vw(which is what i was refering to) i dont have the space to set the needed jt's like dw3 /tripleatk /store tp plus healing refresh haste and a dmg spell or two. Most of the time your waiting for spells to reset and i find it extremely painful operating that much slower then i could be.

Tash thanks that post will help me revise my spell setup for vw. And pro can you explain where your getting 6 seconds at?

Just going to quote myself because I'm lazy.

There's a total of 377 known proc items. 32 of those are BLU spells. That's an 8.5% chance of a proc coming up as a BLU spell. If you take 10 seconds to set the 3 or 4 spells associated with the element that's called, you get on average 0.085 * 70s = 5.95 seconds of delay compared to having every single one of those 32 proc spells set at once (which isn't possible by the way, at all). Even a poor BLU, I'd go so far to say a BLU without an Almace or any sword equipped even, will cut much more than 6 seconds off of a fight with their DPS.

Hey Pro, I have a question:

Without CDC what is a BLU's best option for VW? Requiescat spam?

Is it just my Server or is it all around? I go to VW namly as blu and i never get put in the pt with Cor's or Brd's. not that it makes a HUGE Differnce but still would be nice.

Honestly though, I think we should try to change ppl's POV when they make VW /shout pt, it's getting a bit ridiculous.

I don't mind sitting outside of COR BRD DD pt and let DRK WAR SAM MNK take the spot first, despite I sometimes run into DRK and WAR parsed less than 2% with BRD(without working on proc) and I parsed 9%~12% without COR BRD, but hey, it's PUG, you never know what type of DD you will get, so it is ok.

But then ppl started to put THF and NIN in DD pt, and BLU still sitting out....ok.

Then today I just joined another JP pt they put BLM in DD pt with BRD while I sit in mage pt, wtf.

Not that it matters, when pt still kills Qilin in few min, but I just don't understand why BLM THF NIN all got DD pt priority than BLU.

Maybe time to start asking PUG leaders to put BLU in DD pt when there are 2 DD pts and extra spot open.....
