Multiple Platform Question

Hello, and thanks for the feedback.

I own Final fantasy XI Vana'Diel Collection 2008 for the Xbox 360 which comes with the 4 main expansions. My friend just recently bought the Ultimate Abbyssea Collection for the PC so we could play together. I dont have any other expansions/scenario's so he bought me a copy of the PC version, the same as his. What i was wondering was, if i log onto my computer with my play online id and load my character into the PC version, will it lock the Ultimate Collections DLC, which i now own, to my account and let me download them via normal update on the 360? Or is it a bust and he wasted 20 bucks trying to get me the expansions.

I believe the only EP's you can download via PlayOnline is The 3 scenario ones and 3 abyssea packs.

If I remember correctly they download whether you have the EP's or not on XBOX 360, so I'd assume so, at least for them.

the 3 addons and the 3 abyssea add on install data is included with the mandatory updates one must go thru if a client is out of date (meaning everyone who plays XI has the install data for those addons) having the registration codes from the PC ultimate abyssea collection will unlock those add ons and the abyssea ones on your 360.

Essentially the $20 was for the registration code which unlocks the content across all platforms since the registration code is tied to each account and not to each platform. Only the main expansion installs ( rise of the zilart Chains of promathia and Treasure of Aht urgan and Wings of the Goddess are tied to each specific platform which is a moot point cuz u have those 4 main expansions installed on your 360 and the PC Abyssea Ultimate collection also contains those installs for your PC.

In summation: since your friend bought you the $20 ultimate collection you are now fully equipped to access all the content released thus far on either PC or 360 as soon as you input the registration code that came with your Ultimate Abyssea collection purchase

So, where would i go to put in my new code to unlock everything? i tried the Optional Services in the game itself, but it just tells me to use the Service Account Management System. I go there and cant for the life of my find a place to input a code. Please Help!

when you log into SE account management do the following:

1. Look at the list on the right at the bottom is "Select Service" go ahead and click on it

2. Next be given the option for FFXI or XIV services go ahead and select XI

3. you should now be at a page where it lists your active accounts and towards the top a blue button that says Add a Service account As misleading as this title is this is where you want to go. go ahead and click on it

4. you are now taken to a recognizable page where one can input registration codes go ahead and do so now after u do so it will ask which account to apply the code to*

5. Your account now has access to all the add ons and upon your next game log in screen it will be represented by all the icons to teh right of the character select screen being lit up. If you are logged in while th code is applied it will most certainly require a logout and login to take effect.

*(if you have multiple POL IDs make sure you choose the correct account to apply the codes to)
