    New Crafting caps Skilling up

    Can SE please explain what they were thinking with the new level cap for crafting!!!!

    I have Alchemy to 100 and now to reach the new cap of 110 the only recipes available all require ethereal squama which drops from Verthandi a tier III VNM and it is not even a 100% drop.

    To put this in perspective I killed Verthandi 5 times yeaterday and did not get a single drop of ethereal squama!! So lets say I managed to get one drop in 5 and built up a stack to craft with, and lets say I get a 0.1 skillup for every 3 synths (which is quite a good rate for high level crafting). I would need 300 Ethereal Squama to reach the new skill cap and with the drop rate I stated that would mean killing Verthandi 1500 times, and that does not even consider all the lesser VNM's I need to kill to get the Yellow Abyssite I need to spawn Verthandi.

    When you add into the equation that there will be other crafters also after the item and the repop time is relatively long (although there are 6 spawn regions) I can see a huge bottleneck not to mention the fact that others may jump on the chance to farm the item for large profit.

    So unless they plan to give us other recipes or other ways to get the required items I think the whole craft skill cap increase is a waste of time. Goals need to be achievable. I could understand it if it was Synergy where you only need the items once and just skill up by repeating the synth over and over again without completing it but for regular crafts it is just silly.

    They really need to add MORE recipes, I really hate how mediocre weapons and equipment are and takes the most expensive items to craft. SE raise the power of crafted weapons and armor, and please dont make every semi decent piece of equipment cursed.

    If you insist on going to cursed route, I would like to see cursed weapons, the crafted weapons suck! The only real crafted weapon we ever had was the aern weapons...you guys really have to do better with crafting, and stop making all the rare/ex gear kick crafters in the nuts...I'm a master crafter in goldsmithing, smithing and leathercraft and I'm highly disappointed.

    I'm sure they'll add more recipes, considering that skill cap will eventually be 160ish according to the .dats

    Well lets hope they include some recipes with not so difficult items to obtain. Spent 5 hours just trying to get Yellow abyssite and still not got it to spawn Verthandi for a chance to get 1 ethereal squama.

    I heard it possibly drops from chests in VW, but even that is just silly, spamming VW for a random chance of getting crafting items. I guess they are trying to justify the numbers of crafting materials dropping in VW.

    Well SE needs to add more pop to the crafted equipment. They can make a series crafted gear that take multiple crafts to obtain the final product, with each stage being wearable to the user. For example, top tier craftable gear can be created in stages, stage 1 good stats gear is(auction-able, trade-able, bazaar), stage 2 very good stats gear is(sold bazaar only), stage 3 amazing stats gear is(rare/ex), stage 4 legendary gear is(rare/ex).

    Have we actually had any confirmation that the new crafting skill cap is going to be 160? If we're just going off "It's in the dats" then I don't buy it. For starters Rank 15 and Lv.225 are in the dats, other than that, 160 crafting is absolutely ridiculous. Subcrafts would cap at 120. Literally everything you can craft now will be a t3 synth, you wouldn't even need any GP items or even payed support to be 51 levels over current recipe caps. They'd have to add far more gear and synths than they possibly could to even get us that far, maybe if they were still raising the level cap from 75 that would be possible, but it isn't now. They're already played their hand with a new Hexed set and while there might be another Blighted set to come at 160, I still wouldn't put Hexed so close behind Cursed and certainly not as a skill up item unless its the final skill up item.

    I don't see 160 happening at all. Granted, this is SE we're dealing with. I'd urge them not to push crafting past 110 given how 110 itself has gone down, though.

    SE said there new vision for crafting was to make legendary one of a kind gear, and with this new cap I haven't seen it yet.
