And I'm sorry Raist, but you telling me how things were in a company you used to work for, doesn't convince me in any way. I don't know you, you could be lying through your teeth and making things up as you go along. I never said I think fixing the payment option issues was a major task. I said I'm fairly certain that required more work than giving the playerbase access to their MH storage from any area would do. If a SE rep tells me different then fine, I'll happily admit I was wrong.

Naive? No I don't think so. We were told they'd do this. After 7 months of complete silence on the matter, I wanted to know if they'd forgotten all about it - which they haven't. Or maybe they did forget, and this thread was a reminder? Who knows?

no, the point is they didn't give any hint of a timeline in August. In April, they did....and that time frame is SUMMER.

I think you are missing the point Raist. People are not saying SE is going against their word or that their promised timeline is a total lie. They're complaining that what feels like a simple feature request is taking much too long and with vague arrival date it paints a picture that SE has forgotten about it, hence the OP.

Whether they've been doing this all the time or that technically they haven't breached any promised, because of vague wording, have nothing to do with the impression of carelessness felt by players.

Anyways glad this is coming (soon?) as I am starting to need to access my MS a lot now :3

Their development staff is limited, most have been moved to FFXIV. If anyone doesn't believe me, just check the update notes on FFXIV and compared them with FFXI. It's kinda obvious where all our subscription money is going.

And you are missing my point. 3 weeks after announcing a specific timeframe for implementation, people are clamoring to have it added. They have already committed to the change, and have finally narrowed down a time to look for that change--and people are acting like there has been no commitment to any changes.

Now, if it was getting to the end of September and still no change had been made, then people started raising a fuss that would be a different story. That would be a repeat of the billing snafus. But as it is, SE commited to addressing the issue, and told us it was coming in the summer (as in, not before June 20th).

And this simple feature request can be much more involved at this stage in the game than some may realize. Resource management has become quite a challenge for them due to legacy issues. They have a finite memory space to run the game in because of it, and a change like this can create a lot of issues that need to be addressed if it is to be uniform across all platforms. If it were being implemented for just the PC, that would be different--but we are dealing with consoles that don't have a seemingly boundless amount of resident memory to work with.

Not really! Your Moogle can go back to the mog house to water the plants, collect gear from a Locker in Aht Urhgan etc, but can't collect an item from storage in your mog house.

This actually is an improvement for their turnaround time. There are far more pressing issues that have been in a "looking into" state since 2006 through 2009 that have yet to be addressed. You guys wanted some answers on this issue and you got it...be thankful you even got a response, much less a commitment to do something about it by a certain time frame.

Back then there was no official FFXI forum where we could communicate directly with SE representatives and express complaints, concerns and wishes that could get a direct answer.
