FFXI: Leviathan > Arcon
FFXIV: Selbina > Arcon Villiers
That scenario wouldn't ever happen, and that's why you're an idiot.
i played ff7-13. so such indication is in those games. Also if you guys didn't spam your chat boxes with useless add-ons that more or less TELL you how to play you will see the "x mob readies x ability." before it goes off. I play just fine w/o addons. Played WoW with out them fine also. Not everyone even uses macro's either. And only stuff I macro is my spells which requir one line unless you decide to gear swap as for graphic limitations, check out skyrim on the 360. It was showcased @ E3 on the 360. Everquest one of the oldest mmo barely see a graphical upgade... and that is on pc only. MMo do not really get upgrades in their graphics, on top of, can people rarely afford constently upgrading to a better pc. You guys really need to back off the hate for a system or a game. I run into more console users then pc personally speaking. Its a choice also, I perfer playing on console because thats what I can afford. I'm not big on gaming on a pc too much bs in my personal opinion.
I'm not one to use hyperbole a lot, but this is a straight up lie. And if it's not intended as a lie, than you are so not in touch with the actual playerbase its actually a bit confusing. In 8 years of playing this game I have never met a single person who did not use macros and gear swapping. I had to be told about the "legendary Rosina and Naturbeckles", these like circus-attractions that don't use swaps. If 99.9% of people do this one way, and the .1% does it different, who is really in the wrong? (hint: you)
Sadly I currently know 2 people that don't use macros. They SHOULD because their reaction time is very slow as they search through the menus for a cure or something. So everyone SHOULD use macros...unfortunately there are those that don't. I'll never understand why not though.
I am guessing MS won't allow a re-release of FFXI to even be made on 360. They changed their policies awhile back after FFXI came out on it. That games must use xbox live and not connect to outside servers. MS wouldn't even let Portal 2 connect to steam for the added features like cloud saves, steam achievements, leaderboards.

I play just fine on XBox 360, whilst Windower's features are no doubt useful and have features that would be ideal if SE implemented them, like the distance between you and your target, recasts and so on. But it is possible to cope without and still play the game just fine. For most events I play on my 360, I get the right distances, I'm only hit by AoE when I'm sloppy, I am able to land my macros quickly and effectively and my only mistakes are due to sloppiness and that can occur for a number of reasons - not paying attention, lack of sleep (sometimes I team up with people from the US, meaning I have pulled late ones), or just not noticing something quick enough. Not as if that's a common thing either.
The only thing that's wrong with the 360 is SE hasn't fixed some of the bugs on the 360 version (VW and Besieged crashes) and it's poorly optimised...but then the game's poorly optimised anyway, it runs like crap on my laptop, despite the fact SW:TOR runs a lot smoother with greater draw distances, model detail and so on - sure I don't run it on very high settings, but it's well optimised (I'm running with an Intel GMA, not really for gaming, but then I'm mostly a console gamer). I know the reasons why FFXI is poorly optimised, but the point still stands.
I don't think unofficial 3rd party tools counts as something being 'wrong' with the 360 version. It poses an advantage to the Windows version, that doesn't make the 360 version better, it just means those who don't mind breaking the terms of service get more stuff. Before I get a "you're QQing waa waa", I'll admit I've used Windower and it's definitely useful, but I am happy living without it, it's not the necessity some make it out to be. I'm not bothered by people using it because I don't think it's cheating even if it is against the ToS. I don't feel I've lost the advantage by playing on the 360.
