If you didn't want to be a part of the topic of SqEnix topic of possible relocating you wouldn't be involved so this isn't requirement to take part and comment your personal feelings man its ok we understand how you feel but at the same time people fail to understand that this forum is based off a game and its exactly what its being used for ask questions and get feedback for this wonderful game.. If SqEnix feels that this was not a legit thing to be doing based on current events they would of shut it down too but more then likely I think it was kept up to relieve some of us fans of the idea that we didnt have our LS our in game friends and our in game experience to enjoy and this is giving us some hope and enjoyment while they are doing their civic duty and helping out what they can .. Not every topic has to revert to this insulting and bashing/trolling of thoughts..

Anyone know what kinda bit/bite rate is needed for a server farm lets go with the hypotetical size of FFXI what kinda of upload/download rate would you need to have an effective server

Really tired of these threads.... I was shocked the servers where running on the day of the quake and 2 days after. they have plants in trouble so everything not important got shut down.

why are people shocked SE shut the game down? if a word wide disaster that did not affect you personally would you insist them to move their servers to the moon?
Btw I googled to try to spell disaster and what do you think the first hit was?

I don't know if we moved it to the moon other then the occasional asteroid it might work.. besides that maybe the martians could help us improve our bandwith too?

Not saying it would be worth it. Undertaking such a job now, without even having a stable power supply, would probably take half of the time needed for the power grid to get back up over there .

Australia you need to get your internet up to standards!! It would be a problem to move the servers, if they arent updated off site and out of country already, without moving physical equipment. Problem being the electric system is unreliable which makes the internet unreliable.
