I dont know if its the last thing they would be worried about or not. If it could be done without a lot of serious hassle it seems logical to move them for a bit. Hows the internet in Australia? Thats not all that far away.

Terrible.
Also, with the right skillz, you could move the servers without moving any physical equipment
Not saying it would be worth it. Undertaking such a job now, without even having a stable power supply, would probably take half of the time needed for the power grid to get back up over there.
Its a great idea, not really realistic though. I would love to be playing ffxi right now but cant, it sucks but we have to deal with it. I am sure they wont keep the servers down for too long, no big Corp. wants to lose out on money, so just try and be patient.

I'm sure SE can turn the servers back on now if they want to. Tokyo lives on as usual: Monday work, commute, shoppings, and so does many others outside Fukushima prefecture.
It's just that SE figures someone may need these electricity prior to our entertainment demand, that's reasonable.
I think relocating the servers are a possibility but may take even longer than just shutting it down until things got settled.

This is a forum dedicated to FF11. If you have a problem with people discussing ways to play the game perhaps you should simply refrain from visiting forums about the game.
And I sure hope no earthquake every hits half the people on this forum, cause if they were ever to experience a real crisis they would probably resort to eating each other in some altered state of extreme raging hysteria they are so quick to turn on each other lol

Be such a hassle, move them there then back. I doubt they'd be able to sail or doubt they'd want to risk it, probably dont have time/space/power to backup.
first off i doubt anyone is reading this from SE at the moment they ere to buzy. second i think they problly thought about that. but once again. since the place is destroied they jsut cant up and call peopel to work to do so. then you haveto put it under the idea. whos to say they arnt doing so aany ways it does take time to get the hardware and software from place to place. you know like maybe a week
i undertand your going thro final fantasy withdraw we all are. but SE is and has done all it can do. if they had the choice they would choose to make money and keep their product online. at this time they are doing the best they can be pashent and relax Square -enix is on the job around the globe working on sulutions to this problem. you know SE tehy dont alway give us al lteh information. incase things dont work out.
