New player looking for friendly guild...

Hey guys. I'm new to the game, and with this also being my first MMO played on a console, i'm completely lost

Are there any casual, friendly guilds recruiting newbies on Asura server ? I could use a bit of advice, and tbh i feel a bit lonely while playing.

Ignore Draylo. Kinda.

At low levels, Its a weak healer, can Enfeeble, and melee rather poorly. Its a mixed blend of meh.

And it pretty much stays that way to 99. RDM Is really one of the worst jobs in FFXI right now. Its mediocre at just about everything. I mean, there are some places where RDM is nice, But its more a niche job, and shouldn't be leveled as a Main job.

Regardless of what some may say.

WHM is a better Healer and Buffer
BLM is a better Nuker
RDM has enfeebles - But anything worth a darn is immune
SCH can Heal, Nuke, and Buff better than RDM
(insert a real DD) can Melee Better.

Its just mediocre at everything. Early on, Your role will likely be healer though. You're good at that for a few levels once you get refresh?

What would be a good main job for newbies ?

They are amazing buffers that turn average players into demi-gods. They can also DPS with their sword which can be enchanted with magicks to put a double whammy on your foe. They are also the masters of enfeebles that can stop a foe dead in its tracks.
