Password help please!

Isn't the SE password the same to log in here as in the PlayOnline Viewer? I can get past the "member password" part, but when I go to log in and enter the Square Enix password it tells me "incorrect PlayOnline ID or Password." I know for certain that the PO ID is correct and I know the password is case sensative but I still can't get through. I've also tried the PO password and still nothing. I'm out of ideas and can't reach anyone from SE tech support. Any advice would be welcome

The Technical Support here does not deal with Account/Billing related issues, at all, nor is there a section for such things other than the SQUARE ENIX Support Centre.

Though I guess this might be more about the technical use of the client, they might still be unable to answer.
The fellow players can answer, though, and mine would be, that make sure you enter your PlayOnline ID and PlayOnline Password under your Member Name in your Login Information Settings.

You should also enter your Square Enix ID there, and if you are using the One-Time Password, set that to 'Use'.

Now you should be asked for the SQUARE ENIX Account password when logging in (indeed the same one you log in with here). If you do not set these settings correctly, it will be asking for your PlayOnline Password, but you can not log in with it after transferring the POL Account to your SqEX Account.

If you have not transferred your POL Account yet, you would be unable to use your SqEX Account details to log in.

Yes that was kinda it!! Just needed to change the input where it says "PlayOnline Password" to the SE password and now my password works. One other question though: are the PlayOnline passwords irrelevent now or should hang on to it? Again thanks for the help! =)

You should definitely hang on to them, since you still do need them to log in (to have them saved in your Member Information).

If you were to re-install the POL Viewer, without any backups, you would lose the saved settings and without the POL Password you would be rendered unable to access your account and re-setting the password(s) can be a tedious process indeed!

If you ever had to recover your account, the more information you can provide the Customer Service about it, the better.
