[dev1051] Voidwatch: Tavnazia Jurisdiction- a quick thought.

    Dearest video game peoples,

The Voidwatch is a mulch-national coalition created to combat an inter-dimensional threat.

The problem is that no one besides the adventurer knew about the existence of survivors in the Tavnazian Safehold until CoP mission 2-5 (when you fight the Mammets) and official relations between Jeuno and Tavnazia do not start until you complete mission 4-1. (When the auction house opens.) Conversely, without ties to the outside world there is no way that the survivors in the Safehold would know about threats outside of the general vicinity (the teaser image appears to be in Attohwa Chasm) nor have the resources to combat the extra-dimensional menace. (If they had access to someone who could teleport you to Attohwa Chasm, then why didn't he/she teleport everyone out of Tavnazian Safehold years ago?)

So my request is this, please require that players be past CoP Mission 4-1 (Sheltering Doubt) to be able to access the Tavnazia Jurisdiction of Voidwatch, just so that it will make sense with the storyline. Most people should be well past it and now that missions are no longer level-capped you could get to that mission in about a day.

    XXX, OOO,
    Septimus

P.S. Could you also hide the Voidwatch NPCs until people get to that point in the story? It would be silly for them to be just lounging about the Safehold the first time a new player arrives there if they were sent by the Voidwatch which wouldn't know that the Safehold exists yet.

I actually agree with this. Normally I don't like making events out of reach for players by any restriction but, breaking game cannon is something I really don't like. In any case the OP is right CoP can be solo'd up through 4-1 by a lvl 75 player (minimum for VW participation) in well under a day.

Tavnazia does not host dimensional weaknesses like the main continents do. No maws, no emptiness. There WAS the Lightbringer incident, but that only caused dimensional folding to occur around Cape Riverne, not ruptures into the void.

This could work just like the AH npcs, invisible until far enough in the missions to make them appear.
