When fighting quadav NMs or goblin NMs, the worst you can get is an annoying status effect. But yagudo NMs have an annoying Doom move, which essentially means losing 5+ minutes of precious dynamis time to recover from weakness. Orc NMs are even worse, Fanatic Dance will charm you for a long period (~5 min, enough time for everything you killed in the area to repop), followed by a desperate fight against 5 linked orcs when Charm faded, AND another 5 minutes to recover from weakness (assuming you can even reraise after dying, surrounded by so many mobs.) Most of these NMs can be solod by a variety of jobs, and Doom and Charm are devastating in those cases.
Changing Doom to Curse and Fanatic Dance's Charm effect to a shorter duration, would make these abilities less dramatic. Another option would be to have non-time-extension statues drop a temporary keyitem with a one-time protection against Doom/Fanatic Dance/Wrath of Gu'Dha/Goblin Dice.
