    Chat Filters

    Please read carefully if you pass this on to the devs...

    Last time, you thought a Crafting Guild NPC was a Holiday Event NPC....

    Here's the problem, and maybe I am missing something but:

    If I were to set EVERY chat filter to on, as in 'block all information' except the following:

    [off] Special actions started on/by foes
    [off] Special action effect on/by foes
    [off] Attacks by foes

    Nothing shows in the log when say, Botulus Rex Readies/Uses something like say "Slimy Proposal".

    But if I turn off:

    [off] Special actions started on/by NPCs
    [off] Special action effect on/by NPCs
    [off] Attacks by NPCs

    I can see TP moves that are started by the mob, target the mobs' self, but hurt others. But I cannot see any spells they cast, or directly offensive TP moves.

    In order to see spells and offensive TP moves, I need to have the following off:

    [off] Special actions started on/by self

    [off] Special actions started on/by party members

    [off] Special actions started on/by alliance members

    But if I do that, then I see all the spells my alliance casts, all the Weaponskills they use, all the job abilities, etc.


    The important part, the 'meat' of the post (bolded for convenience):

    Can we get the logic on chat filters to be "Show" rather than "Hide" so we can select what we want to see, not what we don't want to see?

    The problem specifically is, it's hard to stun sometimes when you got so much going on, and the chat filters don't work as one would assume they should.

    I would like to set my chat filters to ONLY see the following:

    1) MY Damage and Cures, Staut Effects Removed, Buffs Gained/Given (And when they wear off), Enfeebles (And when they wear off).
    2) ALL Spells by the monster, and ONLY the monsters': Spells on Monster/Alliance/Party/Me.
    3) ALL TP Moves & Special Abilites by the monster, and ONLY the monsters': TP Moves & Special Abilites on Self/Alliance/Party/Me.

    That means:
    I do not want to see anything that my Party or Alliance does TO THE MOB.

    Simply swapping the logic Should do it.

    Instead of:

    "Chat Filters":
    [off] Special actions started on/by foes
    [off] Special action effect on/by foes
    [off] Attacks by foes
    [ON] Missed attacks by foes
    [ON] Attacks evaded by foes


    Have:

    "Chat Filters":
    [SHOW] Special actions started on/by me
    [SHOW] Special action effects on/by me
    [SHOW] Attacks by me
    [SHOW] Missed attacks by me
    [SHOW] Attacks evaded by me
    [SHOW] Damage taken by me

    [HIDE] Special actions started on/by party
    [HIDE] Special action effects on/by party
    [HIDE] Attacks by party
    [HIDE] Missed attacks by party
    [HIDE] Attacks evaded by party
    [HIDE] Damage taken by party

    [HIDE] Special actions started on/by alliance
    [HIDE] Special action effects on/by alliance
    [HIDE] Attacks by alliance
    [HIDE] Missed attacks by alliance
    [HIDE] Attacks evaded by alliance
    [HIDE] Damage taken by alliance

    [SHOW] Special actions started on/by foes
    [SHOW] Special action effects on/by foes
    [SHOW] Attacks by foes
    [HIDE] Missed attacks by foes
    [HIDE] Attacks evaded by foes
    [HIDE] Damage taken by foes
