Bots and GM's lack of effectiveness on dealing with them post FFXIV

Direct question here to the GameMasters.

Do any of you even care about the Fleebot/Fishingbot/Allseeingeye botting
garbage that you don't seem to be doing anything about anymore or is
FFXI such a low priority that you just don't bother to patrol the game
to take care of them.

There are people brazen and bold enough to just talk freely about them
using these bots - yet, they're not banned even when reported, why?

If you are some how changing your policy on bots - where you want
people to run them and just haven't told people about it - which is
how it feels - should I interpret it as just another ploy to push people
off of FFXI and onto FFXIV or just plain lack of motivation to keep
this game as clean as possible.

In the past blatant botters were sent to moridon and banned - but
now all we see is the generic auto response about it being looked
into and yet the same botters are still here, months/years later.

Please don't give a generic placating response saying you're doing
your best, because your not. In the past, you were far more effective
and its embarrassing how lazy you have become.

Please, do your jobs.

Hello Everyone!

Thank you for the feedback on the GM services regarding third party programs and the Special Task Force. We are always looking for ways to improve our services and this has shed some light on your opinions.

First, let me explain some information that you may not know. The GM staff will review any third party program reports where we can assist. We may not always give you a live reply, and we do this so that your game experience is not interrupted and so we can go straight into our investigations. With that said, there are just some investigations that the GMs cannot perform, so we forward the concerns to the Special Task Force.

Regarding the Special Task Force, I will let you know that when you place a GM call with the names and a brief description of what is happening, we place reports to the Special Task Force on your behalf; this allows you to continue playing so you do not need to log out of the game to place the report. We still encourage you to place your own reports to the Special Task Force via our Support Center email contact.

We know this is a very passionate topic for everyone, and you may have noticed we have removed all the posts made after the OP. This is due to the thread discussing, and naming, third party software; we do not allow that type of discussion on our Official Forums. There was also some negative comments made, both towards other customers and towards SQUARE ENIX. We appreciate your feedback on the services, but the Forums are not the proper place to voice such concerns. We have a feedback email support that allows you to directly submit feedback about GM Services so that they can be reviewed. You can find this email at the Support Center under “Contact”. This is the same area where you place Special Task Force reports.

I will be closing this thread as we have answered your question.
