Downloading the Expansions on an XBOX 360

I'm sorry for what may just be a noobish question, but I've got the disk which comes with the first three expansions for the Xbox. The system downloaded those three expansions along with the updates when I installed the game, so I've got those. The other expansions I bought two days later, and I've registered the all the codes here on the SE account website. I assumed they would just download when I next began playing, but they did not. All I get is a notice message telling me that 'You do not have the expansions downloaded, you will not be able to play them.' or something to that tune. I can still play the game, it starts up after the notice message, but I can't play Wings of the Goddess, Abyssea, etc.

My question is this: how do you download the expansions through PlayOnline for the Xbox 360?

Abyssea files are downloaded as part of the regular updates and is just activated when you put the codes in--but you have to have the proper regular expansions installed from disc first. WotG is not a download, it has to be installed from disc (or in the case of a D2D for the PC, is installed from the source package as if from the DVD). Abyssea is dependant on it for a large part of the files, so if WotG and/or any other required expansions are not installed properly, you won't be able to access the content dependent on them.

    Vdros,

RAIST is correct; while the six add-on packs were releases as part of the regular FINAL FANTASY XI version updates, the four expansions contain enough data where they require installation from the appropriate collection. If you are missing Wings of the Goddess on the Xbox360, then you will need to acquire one of the collections that contains it.
