Incoming BST pet Treasure Hunter Nerf!

Sorry Camate, I'm jumping the gun. I'll try not to say anything inaccurate though.

Everyone should keep in mind an official translation will come in.

Yuly and Falcorr Treasure hunter is gonna get nerfed down to level 1.

They don't like us having such powerful fighters w/ th3. They considered alot of options around this, including weakening thf type pet's battle strength or even readjusting the drop tables. They decided this would be the best option.

They also mention pet:treasure hunter + gear. This would alleviate the issue somewhat... There is a very noticeable difference between th1, 2, and 3.. this is gonna hurt.

I wouldn't like falcorr and Yuly to be weakened. I think they have particular battle niches already. I wouldn't mind if we had a different weak pet for th3 though. Like the toad.

Thanks for starting a new topic about this. I expressed my thoughts on this in the pet jug thread but to recap I don't think this is the best solution to treasure hunter. I will wait for the official translation to voice my thoughts though being I want to know more about "pet: treasure hunter + gear". This could potentially let beastmasters not need to rely on the thief pets... Then again the dev team may make it difficult to obtain or very limited in the amount of this gear that is out there.

This just going to drive MORE BST into dynamis in the short term until SE gets this nerf implemented. Everyone going to want to get their currency out before this nerf comes in. Currrency going to dive even more and clueless ppl walking around with relic will be more common...what a sad day...

Why SE hated BST and SMN so much? Why couldn't we get some love like the DRG have? (okay, they still got the crappy 20min pet recast but at least the main job is getting a very nice boost).

I would really prefer that they just make thief treasure hunter more powerful. And I don't mean the arbitrary number it goes up to. I mean the actual drop rate.

Well honestly the amount of activities in this game I enjoy have been dwindling rapidly over the past year. Bst is pretty much my default option when nothing is going on eventwise. Depending upon how this shakes out it could very well be the proverbial nail in the coffin for my subscription.

Of course they had to wait 18 months to even just express perplexities about TH3 on BST.
And of course they had to add another identical pet with TH3 just a few months ago, because they realized only yesterday that TH3 was unbalanced for a BST pet.

Beacause, like, BST is so powerful, so overpowered, so useful in this game that it clearly needs a nerf.
Not only we can't rely anymore on charm.
Not only we have to rely on expensive pets that you lose while zoning, that you lose while DCing.
No.
Clearly BST needs to be nerfed.
BST is a job that excels at only one thing: soloing. It's been like that since the beginning.
Then they revamp a content (dynamis) to be particularly easy for soloers.
The consequence of that is that jobs that can solo clearly get a higher ground in Dynamis over other jobs.
The clear consequence is that the job that can probably solo best, BST, gets a higher ground over other jobs.
The problem CLEARLY is not in how they revamped the content without thinking about the consequences, the problem is in the BST job, so they have to nerf the job.

This is insane, SE just keeps on kicking us bst in the teeth when we are down. This is totaly a cluster, not only do they give us falcor when it never really won the vote, they specificly went on about it being thf and so forth, now they want to nerf the TH not to TH2 which I could live with but all the way down to TH1... wow.

To top it all off as a 100+ cook/fishermen with ebisu, and 80 synergy, since they are changing the synth for falcor, they are obviously taking out abaia, which was the one good money fish/synth they added in years that actually gave me a use to dust off my ebisu from storage and put cooking to use.

The ironic part of it all is that a lot of other jobs will get TH3 by going /THF (thanks to the La Theine belt) and they won't even need to fulltime the item, just to wear it the first time they enter into a target's enmity list.
