Abyssea - Tahrongi Notorious Monster Pop Condition suggestion

Just want to put out here that I'm sure there's frustration in a majority of people regarding on how it's more time-consuming to pop NMs in Aby Tahrongi compared to Konschtat and La Theine in order to gain key items to pop stronger monsters.

For example, in Konschtat and La thiene, you only have to pop 1 notorious monster to gain a key item and not another pop item that goes towards popping another NM that gives a key item, where in Aby Tahrongi's example is more time-consuming because of how you have to farm 1 pop item and defeat a NM then you received another pop item to pop another NM along with more pop items to gain a key item.

The problem with NM pops when comparing between tahrongi and the other 2 visions zones is that Tahrongi itself takes more time in general farming up NM pops

A good example is that you have to farm and kill both Clionid and Limule NMs to gain their pop items, along with the bloodshot hecteyes pop item, in order to pop hecteyes NM to gain a key item. farming a shocking whisker to Pop and kill the coeurl NM to get another pop item to use it along with Resilient Mane to pop Manticore NM for it's key item.

I'm only suggesting to ease the popping condition towards the NMs that drop the Key Items themselves that are used to pop both Glavoid and Chloris.

    EDIT:

I didn't think about providing the current pop patterns towards the NMs at the time of post, but wanted to make 1 more sample. Yes I know doing amber gold chest is the best way, but it's still luck depending on which key item you really needed while working your way through. I wanted to point this out to see if it was possible to ease on Tahrongi's NM pop conditions in general for groups who are doing both killing NMs and farming chests at the same time.

    Tahrongi:

    pop item >Limule NM > pop item A >----------v
pop item > Clionid NM > pop item B > Hecteyes NM > Key item
Normal hecteyes monster > pop item C >---^

    Konschtat:

Pop Item > Morbol NM > Key Item
Pop Item > Ahriman NM > Key Item

and La thiene's NM pop item conditions is the same as konschtat but tahrongi makes it the longest path towards getting the KIs, that is if you're mostly farming up the pop items for the first tier NMs to get the next set of pop items to pop the next tier for the key items. And let's not forget to take into account of the chance of getting obtaining the key items, would be quite the waste of some gil at times if you're lowmanning or duoing NMs.

Doubt they'll make any big changes this late in the game....most of those early items for Tahrongi can be bought, just like the first pop items in the other zones.

(all items with an * can be purchased)

So, if you buy your pop items, you can more or less do them by just fighting directly for the KI's...basically putting them on the same footing. Couple that with them adding them to the gold chest item list a while back makes them even more readily available as well.

At best, you might see them one day tweak the frequency that you get the pop items and/or KI's...but as for them changing the core structure of the progression tree, I wouldn't hold your breath for that to happen any time soon (especially when half the zones follow similar patterns--at least it's not a progression like the Jailer tree).

Tahrongi (A) is not the only zone that has this kind of structure though....all the Heroes zones follow this model as well. One of SE's little tricks to bog us down and keeping us on their little hamster wheel of futility.

Have to bear in mind these were released in seperate groups, 3 zones per release. Each release posed a new set of challenges in their layouts for us to deal with, and the zones in each release follow a sort of entry level, mid level, and higher level setup with each release. There is a pattern to them. If you sit down and examine them closely, you begin to see how some appear to be specifically designed to be easier than others. This was the first release, so there had to be some sort of a "training ground" to break everyone into the new way to play, so to speak. Naturally, it's setup so you start off in the easier zones and work your way up through the harder ones. In this case, Tahrongi is the more annoying/frustrating/difficult zone in this set.

Honestly it is unbalanced with the other areas. Look at the amount of NMs overall you fight. Cara, 2 NMs to get her items. Bria, 3 NMs to get his items. Kuk, 3 NMs to get his items. Glav, 6 NMs to get his items. Chloris, 8 NMs to get the items! These numbers are unbalanced obviously, because 2 of the 3 areas have NMs with 2-3, while the last is 6-8. Even if you can buy the pops from the lesser NMs its still not balanced that 2 NMs have more than double the amount of NMs needed. Not to mention it can not possibly be due to diffrent expantion or anything of the sort because it is in fact all Visions areas, but you have to fight more NMs in that 1 area to get to your Trial NM for Emps, than any other NM in abyssea!
